All
visitors to Jordan must have a valid passport.
Jordanian
embassies or consulates aboard are authorized to issue tourist visas
and be obtained on arrival without delay.
The
following entry rules apply at present for all visitors except as
noted in Crossing Regulations.

Individual visitors
can obtain entry visa upon arrival for certain fees depending on
the nationality.

Groups 5-14 persons
(Organized by tourist travel agency) are exempted from entry visa
fees provided they stay in the country minimum 4 nights/5 days.

Groups 15 persons
& over, are exempted from entry visa fees regardless of
duration of stay.

Passengers
manifest-passport details:
From 5
persons and over, a list of passport details is required 15 days prior
to the arrival of the groups visiting Jordan, to facilitate obtaining
group visa gratis on arrival. The following information is required:

The
following departure tax apply at present for all visitors, except as

Individual
traveling-the airport departure tax is US$ 15.00.

Groups 5-14 persons
are exempted from departure tax, provided they stay in the country
minimum 4 nights, otherwise the departure tax of US$ 15.00 must be
paid.

Groups of 15 persons
& over are exempted from departure tax regardless of duration
of stay.

King Hussein (Allenby) bridge border-crossing:

Prior visa must be
arranged and can be obtained at the borders.
B. Sheikh Hussein (North
Border) & Wadi Araba (South Border)-crossing:

Open Su-Th
06:30-22:00 h & Fr,Sa 08:00-20:00 h.

Visa can be obtained
at borders for certain fees depending on the nationality.
C. Individuals and
groups visitors using these crossing borders points are not exempted
from entry visa to Jordan nor from departure tax US$ 15.00 per person.

There are no
requirements for special health measures before arriving to
Jordan.

Customs regulations
allow on entry a maximum of two bottles of wine or one liter of
spirits, 200 cigarettes or 25 cigars or 200 grams of tobacco and a
reasonable amount of perfume per adult.

Climate: Spring and
autumn are long and pleasant throughout Jordan. Rain falls from
November to March, but Aqaba on the Red Sea a warm and sunny
winter resort.

telephone dialing is available between Jordan and most other
countries.

Working hours for government
departments are from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM, and for private businesses
generally from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, with a break for lunch between
1:00 PM-3:00 PM. Friday & Saturday is an official holiday.
